A Link To The Past Looks Awesome In Unreal Engine 4

It’s been awhile since we’ve reported on a classic game character being put in Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4, but that’s about to change. This time, it’s the beloved Super Nintendo game The Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past that’s getting the Unreal Engine 4 treatment.

The video (which you can check out below) comes from YouTuber CryZENx, whose other videos include this awesome Majora’s Mask recreation, and this nightmare inducing Kirby video. This time he’s taken the iconic opening scene from The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past, where armed with nothing but a lantern, Link heads out on a stormy night to find his uncle, who recently left for nearby Hyrule Castle to investigate. While Link himself may look a little stiff in this video, the combination of the lighting, the weather effects, and the music really bring the whole scene together.

Obviously, the new Legend of Zelda game for Wii U isn’t going to look like this when it’s set to release later this year, but hopefully it’ll be just as epic and amazing look as this fan recreation.
