A Booker Cosplay that is Too Dewitt to Quit

Booker Dewitt – he is the protagonist of Irrational Game’s latest epic, Bioshock Infinite. He is a private investigator and, prior to his reluctant arrival in Columbia, a former Pinkerton agent. Booker is offered a deal to wipe away his gambling debts if he goes to Columbia and retrieves a girl imprisoned there. Over the course of the story, Booker reveals his past experiences, and shows his ability to make decisions independent of the player.

Born in 1874 and later in his teenage years, became enlisted to the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army. At one point during Booker’s service, his superiors began to accuse him of possessing Native American ancestry and thus ridiculing him in front of his comrades. To avoid the stigma of such a rumour, Booker brutally massacred the Native Americans they fought, culminating in the Wounded Knee Massacre, where he scalped his victims and burned teepees with people still inside. Due to his gruesome actions, other members of his regiment, including Cornelius Slate, gave him the nickname “The White Injun,” because of his habit of taking trophies from his victims.

While Booker is seen as hero to men, he feels nothing but regret after the massacre. After the battle, fraught with guilt, Booker attended a river baptism led by Preacher Witting to be reborn a new man and absolve him of his past actions. However, Booker rejected his baptism before it could be completed, thinking that his sins could not be washed away by a “dunk in the river.”

Bioshock Infinite, having been released on the video game market a little less than a year ago, has become a favourite game and a game that holds a special place in the hearts of many gamers and cosplayers. The game has seen many interpretations of its core characters by talented cosplayers such as Ormeli (Elizabeth Comstock’s face model), Eve Beauregard, Paris Winston, TigerLily Cosplay and even the incredibly amazing Angela Bermudez.

There is not one single cosplay Angela has done that is not a masterpiece, such as her Female Shepard armour made entirely from sheets of craft foam, Rescue (Iron Man) armour, her most recent cosplay of the gorgeous Silvan Elf Tauriel who “walks in the starlight of other worlds” and now, her genderbend cosplay of Booker DeWitt. Angela is a master cosplayer and everything she does makes your jaw drop in absolute amazement over the details and the craftsmanship of the cosplays.
