New Yooka-Laylee Trailer Has A Little Something For Everybody

Gamescom is this week, and it’s around this time that companies tend to show off new trailers for the hottest upcoming games. This time, it’s Playtonic Games’ turn to show us a brand new trailer for the highly anticipated 3D platformer Yooka-Laylee.

The new trailer, which you can check out below, shows off some more of the game in action, this time introducing a brand new transformation, a giant snow plow, an ice area, an industrial setting, and a brief look at the game’s villain, an evil business bee. And oh yeah, there’s also a new power, which is a fart bubble that lets our heroes breath and walk underwater for a short time. Because of course it does. The trailer is also accompanied by a really catchy tune that wouldn’t feel out of place in 3D platfomer of yesteryear, which considering this game is a revival of that genre made by people who helped make that genre popular in the first place, kind of makes sense.

Yooka-Laylee is set to release in the first quarter of 2017. The game will be coming to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and PC.
