SDCC 2013: Brand New “Catching Fire” Trailer Revealed!
The hype around Suzanne Collins’ The Hunger Games has only seemed to grow as the books made the transition from novels to movies. The first entry into the series, The Hunger Games, got praise from most fans in its movie adaptation. So much so, that fans all over the world groaned in unison as they realized that they were going to have to wait a year before the next movie came out. A brand new Catching Fire trailer has been released, curtesy of Comic Con, and it’s one that fans will not want to miss.
Tensions in Panem are the highest they’ve been since the original revolution, and Katniss is to blame. The girl unknowingly started a movement when she forced President Snow to allow the first ever double victory in the 74th Hunger Games. Banking on the fact that Peeta and Katniss were “in love” they must now keep up the façade in front of the cameras, or it could mean trouble for those they love most. Just as Katniss and Peeta thought they would never enter the area again, President Snow throws them through a loop in order to get rid of the most recent victors, and any hope that the citizens of Panem will finally be able to break from his chains. The third Quarter Quell has been announced, and it is a game unlike any other. Katniss and Peeta are up against previous victors – all of whom are now killing machines. They must fight for their lives, and fight for a better tomorrow.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theatres on November 22nd of this year. Until then, “May the odds be ever in your favor.”
