The Dr. Who production team have a reason to celebrate in San Diego. While Matt Smith, Jenna Coleman, David Bradley, executive producer Steven Moffat, and writer/producer Mark Gatiss took the stage for a very special 50th Anniversary panel. The entire room was extremely excited as they held their own screwdrivers of Who solidarity. The room screened a teaser recap of everything that has happened thus far. Pretty exciting stuff if you ask us.

As the discussion moved to various topics, the panel eventually brought up a 50th Anniversary Special and the upcoming Christmas Special. These special episodes will mark the time for Smith to leave the series while a new doctor is crowned.

Smith went on and said “It’s been a fabulous journey and I take with me best friends. I think we’ll make the Christmas Special one of the most moving. I’m determined to make it a real belter.” Moffat, on the other hand, chipped in with “No pressure. I’m on page 20”.

A new trailer was previewed and the last words go as follows. “I’m looking for a doctor.” A person replies, “Well you’ve certainly come to the right place.” Talk about hysteria with those couple of lines.

The 50th Anniversary Special will premiere on November 23rd on BBC America. For more Doctor Who or Comic-Con news, check back soon.
