Don’t Let this GlaDos Cosplay Coax You into Executing Any Scientists!

Posted September 6, 2013 by

Perfected by Tenori-Tiger, This ‘Genetics Lifeform and Disk Operating System’ Cosplay from Portal is guiding her way through her own mission. GlaDos is known to be narcissistic, passive-aggressive and witty. She was created by Eric Wolpaw and Kim Swift. This artificial lifeform was responsible for testing and maintenance in Aperture Science research facility in Portal and Portal 2. Tenori-Tiger easily portrays this in her photoshoots.

Tenori-Tiger captures GlaDos’s witty and sarcastic personality in her photos, as well as her strange being. This cosplayer went all out, perfecting this cosplay into an exact replica of Portal’s GlaDos OS. Even though this cosplayer won’t be killing any scientists with a neurotoxin, she will be blasting through the cosplay community in her epic portrayal of GlaDos.

GlaDos is known to have died, or so we have thought. In the Portal game, she was destroyed by the player-character Chell, but was revealed to have survived. The inspiration for this Artificial Robot extends from WolPaw’s use of a text-to-speech program while writing lines for video games. GlaDos was well-received by critics and gamers alike. She is praised for her actions in Portal’s narrative, and was awarded many awards for best new character in 2007. The cosplayer here definitely shows GlaDos’s pure awesomeness that gamers know and love.

GlaDos went through many design changes before the artists settled on the final anthropomorphic shape. Tenori-Tiger created an epic costume that best represents this character, and has done many different shoots with this costume. To view more of her work, check out her DeviantArt page!
