The flames that once had licked over the funeral pyre had begun to die down to a soft smolder. No longer could the shrieks of the witch who had left the queen’s beloved in a vegetative state due to witchcraft be heard as she burned alive on the pyre. All that lingered in the flames wake were the skeletal remains of Khal Drogo and Duur, three newborn dragons, born from eggs long since thought capable of producing life, and Daenerys, the Unburnt. Though her pale skin was dusted in ash, it remained untouched by the fire that had raged around her. Her delicate fingers still rested around a rough, scale plastered egg that once held her children. The frail girl died that day and was reborn in blood and fire, the true dragon queen.

Game of Thrones tells the tale of seven families that seek to rule over the Iron Throne. One such family is the House of Targaryens, the former ruling family over the throne. Viserys Targaryen seeks to regain their power and marries his sister, Daenerys, to Khal Drogo in hopes of gaining an army in return. Unfortunately, plans do not take hold as quickly as as Viserys likes and due to his constant pestering he meets his untimely demise. After Daenerys and Drogo’s child is stillborn and Drogo passes, Dany collapses into his funeral pyre with her three dragon eggs and is reborn: Daenerys Targaryen, the First of Her Name, Queen of Meereen, Queen of the Andals and the Rhoynar and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, called Daenerys Stormborn, the Unburnt, Mother of Dragons.

TheBird-TheBee recreates the above mentioned scene in a tastefully beautiful way. Though nude, her face mirrors the regal look of Daenerys and long, wavy white hair remains loose and untamed. Her expression conveys both the innocence that was lost and the powerful queen that was born on that fateful day. And no Daenerys would be complete without the perfectly sculpted, scaled eggs, hers painted the crimson that would become Drogon.
