Epic Everyday Cosplay: Tauriel’s Elven Style

Tauriel is a Silvan Elf of Mirkwood and will be introduced in the newest chapter of The Hobbit film trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Although her existence in the second installment is controversial for some die hard LOTR fans, her skills in combat cannot be disputed. As the head of the Elven guard in Mirkwood she is a skilled warrior in archery and hand-to-hand combat. As a young elf (only about 600 years!) she is impulsive and maybe a bit rebellious against the social order of the elves. But there is a soft side to this she-warrior and she gets cozy with one of the Dwarf brethren in the new movie. For Tauriel’s look, we have paired some earth-toned garments with over-the-knee boots, befitting of a woodland elf. Elvin weapons and armor, such as leather bracers, dual daggers and a movie replica bow & arrow that would make any warrior proud. We have also added a long, straight auburn colored wig and Elvin ear tips to make the look more authentic to Tauriel.
