Capcom has recently teased the fact that Akuma would be making his way over to Street Fighter V. The news came during the Red Bull Battlegrounds North American Regional Finals where Capcom mentioned his arrival, but also told fans they don’t have too long of a wait before they can see what Akuma is packing for themselves, as he’ll be playable on December 3 at the PlayStation Experience event.
With the announcement of Akuma comes an interesting trailer tease. Fans have begun to wonder about the kanji on his back in the trailer, which roughly translates to “god above man,” which have lead fans to believe that he’ll either morph into or be playable in his Shin form. No matter the case, it is great to see this old character making his return in Street Fighter V. Though, that is not the only game he will be appearing in. Akuma seems to be a busy guy as he will also be fighting in Tekken 7 as well.
Street Fighter V is out now on the PlayStation 4 and PC.
