Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare New Trailer Touches on Sound Design
A new behind the scenes trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare has been released, and it touches up on how Sledgehammer has recorded the sound for this year’s entry. From what we have heard, the developer has put a lot of work into making the sounds feel more authentic than the previous. Audio Director Don Veca says in the video that “you will virtually never hear the same impact or explosion twice.”
According to Veca, while Advanced Warfare is a sci-fi shooter set a few decades ahead in the future. The sounds aren’t going to be all synthetic, instead all the sounds will be recorded as real sounds and built up with mixes in their own creations to make something unique, while also staying familiar.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launches across Windows PC, Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 4, with all the DLC coming first to Xbox consoles.
