Details Revealed on Star Wars Battlefront Beta
Some call it a “technical test” — mainly EA and DICE, and some call it a beta, mostly everyone else, but no matter what you refer to it as details on Star Wars Battlefront’s beta / test have been revealed. For one, the beta will be releasing this October for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. Since it’s being described as a “test” players will get to test out the 40 player Walker Assault Mode on Hoth and features two characters that fans — and even people who aren’t too heavily into Star Wars, will recognize: Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.
Additionally, players will also get to try out two other game modes. One of said modes will include a Survival Mission on Tatooine — where gamers can join up with a buddy and fight waves of Stormtroopers, and Drop Zone, which is a brand new game mode that EA will soon share details on.
The good news doesn’t stop there either, as the publisher announced the Star Wars Battlefront Companion experience and will also be included within the beta. The Star Wars Battlefront Companion experience includes Base Command, a strategic card game, and will allow players to earn in-game credits that can be used to unlock Star Cards, weapons, and other various things within Star Wars Battlefront.
“In addition to Base Command, the Companion also lets Rebels and Imperials alike check game stats and progression, customize load-outs and appearance, connect with friends, and get notified when they’re playing Star Wars Battlefront — as well as gather intel on their stats and progression so you can see how you match up,” Matt Everett, the community manager stated.
Star Wars Battlefront makes its way to homes on November 17th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
