Drop It Like It’s Hot: Nvidia Shield’s Price Drops Before Launch!

Posted June 20, 2013 by

The highly anticipated Nvidia Shield has recently had its price dropped! It’s been announced that as opposed to the original price of $349, the Nvidia Shield will now be released at a whopping $299–a whole $50 less! The Nvidia Shield is supposedly said to ship out this June, so that it will be available for release on June 27th! The Shield is an all-in-one entertainment and gaming portable device, powered by NVIDIA Tegra 4, the worlds fastest mobile processor! With the Shield, you’ll always have the most up-to-date Android operating system. You’ll also be able to download the latest and greatest Android games at your inner-gamer’s desire!

With 720p graphics, awesome audio, and a tangible gaming controller, the Nvidia Shield delivers an ultimate gaming experience. The decision to drop the price was based around several hands-on sessions, featured at PAX East and E3, as well as different feedback from consumers. According to Nvidia, “we’ve heard from thousands of gamers that if the price was $299, we’d have a home run,” so that’s how they came to the conclusion to drop the price. Those of you who may have preordered the Shield, will also have their prices dropped as well.
