Electronics Arts announced a new subscription program today for Xbox One called “EA Access”, which offers exclusive early trial access to select games such as Madden 15, as well as endless access to The Vault, a collection of digital EA games including FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2, and Battlefield 4 with more on the way. EA points out that this amounts to more than $100 worth of games for $5/month.
Plans start at $5/month to $30/year, and will also include a 10% discount on upcoming DLC. Additionally, games will be downloaded to your system, not streamed. If members lapse their membership, they’ll be able to pick up where they left off. While EA is continuing to plan on other demos and trial offers for upcoming games, EA Access members will receive early access trials to upcoming games such as Madden 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15, and Dragon Age: Inquistion. If members choose to purchase the game, the progress will carry over to the full version.
EA Access is currently in beta phase and is available now. Interested players can read more on EA’s website here.
