The Evil Within is Bringing the Terror This August!

The Evil Within, the newest survival horror creation from the mind of Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, will be officially available in North America on August 26, as well as in Europe on August 29. Publisher Bethesda Softworks made the official announcement today on the Bethesda Blog along with a super creepy vine.

In addition to the announcement, Bethesda also revealed the official game packaging for each system. The Evil Within will be releasing on Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Fans of the survival horror genre are holding high hopes for the promising new survival horror game to take a more terrifying approach to scaring us, as the series has taken a turn in recent years to more action based gaming. Thankfully, the creators have made it clear that it is of the utmost importance to them that the game stays true to the root of the genre, and that fear will be a major factor in the game play experience.
