A new trailer for Final Fantasy XIV shows off new content and features that will be available with the 3.5 update. 3.5 update, also known as The Far Edge of Fate, looks to bring plenty of new content to the already massive MMO and brings along some nice quality of life improvements to make the game even more enjoyable.
In patch 3.5, the main story will take players to Baelsar’s Wall, the giant structure that separates the Garlean Empire controlled territories and the three city-states of Eorzea. Players will also return to Sohm Al to further explore the holy ground of the dragons, take on an all new alliance raid, and fight Zurvan, the final member of the Warring Triad. This should certainly bring players back into the game who have been waiting for the next update and it seems they won’t be disappointed by all the content that is being added.
Update 3.5 will also make some nice improvements to the party finder. The party finder is improved by allowing players from other worlds on the same data center to view, recruit, and join parties, and a new Frontlines PvP map. This should make grouping up a much quicker process.
Final Fantasy XIV is out now for the PlayStatin 4 and PC. The Far Edge of Fate is scheduled to launch January 17th. Patch 3.55 is scheduled to arrive in March and will bring with it new exploratory missions and the final part of the relic quest line.
