While we wait for it’s March 3rd release date, here are some new screenshots for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. And simply put, these are absolutely gorgeous.
While the screenshots, which come courtesy of Game Informer, don’t reveal anything new about the game story wise, we do learn some nice little tidbits and tricks about the game, such as the fact that wearing metal armor in a thunderstorm is not the best idea (which is sound advice in general), as well as a look at some of the game’s enemies, and the confirmation that the shopkeeper from both Wind Waker and Skyward Sword Beedle would be making a return, though we’re still no closer to figuring where in the Zelda timeline the game takes place (I personally wouldn’t be surprised if it takes place in the Fallen Timeline, but I’m personally kind of hoping it takes place before Wind Waker).
You can check out all the screenshots below, with Game Informer promising more in the newest issue, which is out now by the way. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild releases on March 3rd for the Wii U and Nintendo Switch. In semi-related news, Game Informer did an rapid fire interview with Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma, which you can check out here.
