Horizon Zero Dawn’s Newest Trailer Shows How The Giant Robotic Dinosaurs Came To Be

A new trailer for Horizon Zero Dawn has been released. And unlike previous trailers, this one focus on the distant past, and gives us a brief look of life before the events of the game.

The trailer, which you can check out below, shows us what the world used to be like, before a mysterious blackout “plunged” the world into darkness, causing the machines to rise up and take control of the world. But what exactly caused humanity to lose control of Earth, and how did these machines come to be? These are the central questions of the trailer, which is appropriately named “Earth is Ours No More”, as well as the focus of protaginst Aloy’s journey throughout the game.

We’ll hopefully know more answers to these questions (or maybe we’ll just ask more questions) when Horizon Zero Dawn releases on February 28th, exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.
