The Last of Us Continues to Dominate in Worldwide Sales
The Last of Us is one of a few games that when we look back will be revered as defining a generation. It was released to universal critical acclaim, has won multiple awards and now, as of March 2014 has sold, “over six million copies.” This news comes via the Playstation Blog where Naughty Dog Community Strategist, Eric Monacelli revealed that alongside the impressive sales figures Naughty Dog will have a large presence at GDC 2014; just like they did in 2012 when they talked at length about the development of Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception.
“We’re now heading to GDC to talk about some of the techniques and process that went into making The Last of Us, which has now hit over six million copies sold worldwide, as well as what made Left Behind, our first ever downloadable, single player story chapter, so unique.” The Last of Us: Left Behind currently holds a score of 89 on Metacritic which makes it the highest rated PS3 downloadable content ever created!
Congratulations to the team over at Naughty Dog, this undeniable success is well and truly deserved.
