Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is still several months away, but until then, the developers at Sledgehammer Games are raising the hype with developer diary videos focusing on various aspects of the game. We got a new one recently, and the one before that was centered on the advanced technology that the game will have due to its setting in the year 2054. The newest developer diary is about the animation and art direction, told to us by animation director Christopher Stone.

Stone emphasizes the fact that the next-gen hardware Sledgehammer gets to work with will allow them to make this a very immersive Call of Duty game, like nothing you would expect from past Call of Duty games. The video shows off some in-engine workings, but also shows mo-cap sessions with famous actor Kevin Spacey, who will be playing a very important character in the game known as Jonathan Irons. With all the high tech animation and art direction work going into this Call of Duty title, it’s shaping up to look quite realistic and future tech looks impressive. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will be released on November 4th for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360.
