Last month, developer 4A Games gave a broad launch window of ‘summer’ for Metro Redux, but now we are finally at a specific set date as publisher Deep Silver has confirmed today that Metro Redux will have a release date of August 26 in North America and August 29 in Europe.

Metro Redux contains revamped versions of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. While Metro 2033 is getting a major graphical overall by being regenerated on Metro: Last Light’s engine, the games will not only look prettier, but will feature new components such as a day and night cycle, the ability to check your watch and browse through your inventory, and redone cinematics.

In both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, players will be able to choose from two different modes: Survival and Spartan. While Spartan mode is more in-your-face action and gives you more supplies and resources to maintain that you are spending more time killing than worrying about how you survive, Survival mode does the complete opposite by giving you minimal supplies and harder to defeat enemies.

Get your hands on all of these new and exciting features when Metro Redux releases for $49.99 as the Metro Redux Pack at retail, or digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC by purchasing the two games (Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux) separately for $24.99 each.
