New Destiny Raid Gets Launch Date

In an announcement made during the Destiny: The Taken King Court of Oryx live stream, Bungie Creative Director Luke Smith revealed that the next major raid for the latest expansion, King’s Fall, will be released September 18th, 2015, three days following the release of The Taken King itself. This comes following the announcement at PAX Prime that the raid would not be available at launch, which isn’t terribly surprising considering the first raid, Vault of Glass, wasn’t available at launch either.

“That story of Oryx and his presence in our solar system is going to continue after the credits roll,” said Smith. “And we’re going to continue to tell you more about Oryx and his minions after you face them for the first time in the game. The raid is really the culmination of that story.” Destiny is available for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360, and The Taken king will be available September 15th.
