The Nintendo NX is no more. Say hello instead to the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo’s new hybrid handheld/home console.

The console was officially shown during a new video today, which you can check out below. In it, many of the big rumors that we’ve heard over the month have been confirmed, including the fact that the console will let you seamlessly play games on both your TV and on a separate tablet device, which functions as a handheld. And before you ask, it would appear that playing it at home uses a traditional controller, though using the tablet does let you click on two snubs to let you use it like a handheld; you can even use those them to play multiplayer on the tablet part.

But of course, the most important part of any gaming device isn’t the technology. It’s the game and the preview trailer showed a few of them in action. We already know that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be coming to the NX, but besides that we also got a brief look at a new unnamed Mario game (please be Super Mario Galaxy 3), Switch ports of Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon, another rumor that was also confirmed, and a couple of third party games, such as a basketball game from EA (most likely the newest NBA 2K) and……The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition. Yes, you read that correctly; Skyrim on a Nintendo console. Bethesda isn’t the only one supporting the Switch either, as Nintendo also revealed a full list of third party partners supporting the console on their website and includes not just the usual suspects such as Capcom, EA, Bandai Namco, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros., but also new companies such as Bethesda, Take-Two Interactive (the publishers of everything Rockstar has ever done), Telltale Games, Epic Games, and From Software, the latter you may know as the developers of a little known game series called Dark Souls.

So yeah, that’s all we know right now about the Nintendo Switch. It took awhile, but we finally know what’s going on with Nintendo’s next console, and I for one am really excited. The Nintendo Switch is set to launch in March of 2017.
