Satoru Iwata, the President of Nintendo, stated that Nintendo will partner with the popular Japanese mobile phone company DENA in order to launch the first Nintendo mobile game. The new game is slotted to debut sometime in 2015.

This exciting news was all announced in a press briefing that happened yesterday. Nintendo is in fact partnering with DENA to bring their loyal fans an amazing mobile game starring Nintendo IP.

During the briefing Iwata was asked more info about the game, including when and who will be developing it. “Regarding the individual video game titles, when it will be launched, we will be making the announcement when each of those games are ready,” Iwata said. “At least, however, we believe that there is no mean of collaboration [sic] if we can’t launch anything, at least once, or some sort of output within this year. Also, per game title, regarding the roles of each companies will differ depending on games.”

This partnership will include brand new, original games for phones and mobile devices, as opposed to ported 3DS or Wii U games. We will find out more about what games they plan to produce as the debut date draws nearer.
