The open beta for the upcoming Xbox One exclusive racer Forza Motorsport 6: Apex, the free-to-play, modified version of the game is set to hit Windows 10 PCs sometime early next month. The PC port will be the first in the series to debut on a PC platform, with developers Turn 10 confirmed to be developing.
Turn 10 intends to design Apex with DirectX 12 and 4K resolution, with high hopes that it will showcase the exclusive ForzaTech engine in new and innovative ways not yet released. Although it will not be functioning as an enhanced port of the Xbox One version, Aaron Greenberg, Head of Xbox Game Marketing has referred to the upcoming port as a “curated” experience, stating it as a abstract version of the Forza series for PC players to enjoy.
According to Xbox Wire the open beta for Forza Motorsport 6: Apex will be available to Windows 10 owners starting on May 5th and is expected to run throughout the entire summer.
