It’s happening everybody! This is is not a drill! Red Dead Redemption 2 has officially been announced by Rockstar Games, and we’ll be hearing more about really soon.

The game is set to release for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the Fall of 2017 (sorry PC fans, looks like you’re left out in the cold once again), and the game is being described “an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland”, as well as including “a brand new online multiplayer experience”. “With Red Dead Redemption 2, the team is working hard to push forward our vision for interactive entertainment in a truly living world”, said Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games. “We hope to deliver players an epic experience that builds upon everything we’ve learned making games.”

In addition, a new trailer for the game is set to drop showing us our first look at the game in action this Thursday at 11 AM Eastern, according to the game’s official page. In any case, there we go. It’s been hinted at, it’s been rumored, but now we know; one of the games of the last console generation is officially getting sequel. 2017 can not come fast enough.
