The Resident Evil series is no stranger to extra modes that the player can unlock after beating the main game. Resident Evil 0 HD remake is no exception, as Capcom announced today that Resident Evil 0 HD will be getting a brand new mode, and even released a trailer showing it off in action, which you can check out below.

The mode in question is called Wesker Mode, and see players taking control of series villain Albert Wesker, who teams up with Rebecca Chambers and replaces character Billy Coen. But this isn’t just a mere palette swap, as the trailer is quick to point out. Powered by the parasite Uroboros, Wesker has the ability to sprint at super high speeds, can punch monsters with ease, and can stun and kill monsters just by staring at them. Not only that, but it appears that Wesker has his own cutscenes and story, as it appears Wesker is doing what he can to lure his S.T.A.R.S. team members to the Spencer Mansion in the hopes of “eliminating them”.

Resident Evil O HD is set to release sometime next year digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3. It was also recently announced that a physical copy of the game will be available and bundled with Resident Evil 1 HD; that bundle will also come out next year for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
