Bandai Namco has released details for the co-op fighting game hybrid Rise of Incarnates, announcing a closed beta period starting next Friday for the PC. Created by the developers behind Tekken and Soul Calibur, Rise of Incarnates features a two-on-two combat style, alongside skill and character progression by the way of synthesizing skill cubes, referred to as the “Awakening” system.

Initially announced in April alongside the alpha phase, Rise of Incarnates is a free-to-play PC fighting game with characters that control godly powers and wage war in backdrops taken right out of the real world. The beta will include the New York City and Paris levels that aim to showcase the multitude of ways that the environment can be used in the game to turn the tide of battle. Playable characters include Mephistopheles, Lilith, Grim Reaper, and Ares, with a fifth character, Brynhildr planned for release on August 13th alongside the Paris level.

Players interested in signing up for the beta can do so by checking out the Rise of Incarnates website here, the doors open at 9:00 AM CET (8:00 AM UTC) on Friday, August 8th and will conclude at the same time on Monday, August 18th for a total of ten full days of play time.
