It’s time – well, almost. New World announced today that their Steam Early Access shooter title Insurgency will be launching as a full title come January 22nd. Insurgency that serves as a sequel of sorts to a Half-Life 2 mod was originally released back in April of 2013 for Steam Early Access, and since has allowed players to team up together, and work tactfully with one and other. New World Interactive aims to use the launch as a way to represent the end of Insurgency’s beta – but that doesn’t mean the undergoing of development will be ceasing as well.

“We’ve gained tremendous feedback from our community during early access, and in the process have grown accustomed to providing frequent updates to the game based on user experience,” stated Jim Blum, founder and game director. For anyone who already has their hands on the title, they’ll be able to gain access to extra DLC as well as any future updates that the title endures.

As it stands, Insurgency is available for both PC and Mac for $19.99. If you’re counting down until the launch – which is in just over a week, check out the trailer below to hold you over.
