Since the cancellation of Fables Legends and the closure of Lionhead Studios, we haven’t hear much about the series. But according to Xbox head Phil Spencer, there’s still hope for the beleaguered RPG series.
When asked by a fan over the weekend on Twitter about the series, Spencer responded with, “Nothing to announce right now but I do think the IP has a lot of places it could go.” Obviously, that’s not a confirmation that a game is coming soon, but it is nice to know that Microsoft is still aware of the series and is hopeful of its future.
With E3 coming up in a little more than a month, that would seem like the best time to reveal a new game in the Fable series. If not that, than at the very least a remaster of the second and third games (since the first one got an anniversary edition a few years ago).
