Analogue Interactive stated that they are now taking pre-orders for the Analogue Nt, a modern reimagining of one of the most significant video games consoles of our time – The NES. “Precision fabricated from a single, solid block of 6061 aluminum,” the Analogue Nt has been, “Engineered with an uncompromising attitude to quality.”

The Analogue Nt has been designed around, “the heart and brain of the original NES.” It uses a Ricoh 20A3 and a Ricoh 2C02 which are the same CPU and PPU components which were used in the original NES and Famicom. According to Analogue Interactive the Analogue Nt is, “the only NES on the market that is built with original hardware. This means you’ll be experiencing the NES with the hardware it was designed to be played with. Free of any compromises.” Owner of Analogue Interactive, Christopher Taber describes the Analogue Nt as, “as perfect as retro gaming can get.”

The Analogue Nt will be capable of natively outputting the highest quality analogue signals via RGB, Component, S-Video, and Composite outputs. A HDMI adapter will be sold separately, but in essence you’ll be able to, “Plug in to any HD or SD television and rightfully display each and every game as the pieces of art they are.”

The Analogue Nt starts at $499.00 and is scheduled to ship, “Summer 2014.”
