Microsoft has just revealed a new version of the Xbox One. The Xbox One S will be a slimmer model of the current Xbox One with a few new additions.
The Xbox One will have the ability to offer 4K video, “up to” 2 TB HDD, and will feature a new controller that features textured grips. With the current generation of consoles having been out for some years, it is no surprise a slim console would be released. This could give Microsoft a much appreciated boost to their console sales that, while still being stellar, have lagged behind Sony’s PlayStation 4.
It will be interesting to see if Sony has anything to fire back since it has already been announced that the more powerful PlayStation 4, PlayStation Neo, will not be at this year’s E3. It will be interesting to see if they have their own slim model that will end up putting three different PlayStation 4 models out at the same time.
