YouTuber Recreated Friends Opening with Grand Theft Auto V Characters

Youtuber Merfish has recreated the opening to popular 90’s sitcom Friends with Grand Theft Auto V characters. Merfish was able to recreate the famous intro with Rockstar Editor Tools that were released for Grand Theft Auto V several months ago along with light modding of the PC version of the game.

In the video, the six classic friends are replaced with characters from the game’s story; Amanda de Santa, Patricia Mardozo, Lester Crest, Franklin Clinton, Trevor Philips, and Michael De Santa are cast instead of the New York locals, Ross, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Monica, and Chandler. Besides the questionable recasting, the video does the original opening justice with similar setting and antics. The famous Friends fountain and couch are in it and Merfish tries to stay true to the opening with the GTA characters mimicking their 90s counterparts. A side-by-side view comparison video of the original and GTA version can be seen below.
