Fan-Favorite Destiny Weapon Has Undergone A Massive Change In PVP

There’s a character in Destiny named Xûr who every weekend has new items to offer, often of the exotic variety. Last weekend he returned to offer up players the Destiny Year Two version of the MIDA Multi-Tool. And it would appear that bringing back such a weapon has a major impact on the game’s PvP mode.

According to fan tracking site Guardian.gg, the rifle had a 6 percent jump in Scout Rifle use, which the MIDA Multi-Tool is, during PvP matches after it was introduced last weekend. While many have speculated that the inclusion of this exotic helped that, it’s also important to note that Scout Rifles are incredibly popular even without the MIDA introduced. However, it was also shown that after the weekend, Scout Rifles dropped in popularity shortly afterwards.

Whether it was the introduction of the MIDA that made the change ultimately remains to be seen. Destiny is available now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
