Gone Home Is Coming To The PlayStation 4 And Xbox One, Has A Firm Release Date

Gone Home, the widely popular 2013 indie game, is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. And even better, it now officially has a release date.

Officially announced to be coming to consoles back in 2014, Gone Home was shelved shortly after when publisher Majesco ran into some financial problems, causing them to put it an many projects on hold indefinitely. However, developer The Fullbright Company recently came out of the blue and revealed that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game were back on track, with Majesco’s indie label Midnight City publishing it. Development has also shifted over to the Unity 5 engine, which is sure to make it look a lot nicer and run much smoother.

Gone Home is set to release on January 12, 2016, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will be the same as it was as the PC version, however it will include a brand new 90 minute commentary by the developers. A new trailer for the game announcing the release on home consoles was released, which you can check out below.
