Injustice 2’s Beta Is Now Live For Some People

Injustice 2‘s beta is now live! Well, for some people it’s live, as invites are being sent right now, so be sure to check your email to see if you’re in.

The news comes from Ed Boon himself, who said on Twitter earlier today that beta invites were being sent out right now. The beta will include four characters to play. Though Netherrealm say who would be on the roster for the beta, it would appear that at the very least Batman and Atrocitus will be playable. The new gear system will also be a part of the beta as well, with players getting new gear to try whether they win or lose, with each character getting five loadout slots, which you can swap between different setups. Each loadout also has two ability slots, which allow you to replace or add a new ability to each character. An example of this was shown during a stream today, where Batman used a special Air-to-Air Boomerang, which replaces his Scatter Bomb special and can be used for zoning.

If this all sounds good, and you’re worried that you didn’t get into the beta don’t worry. According to Boon, more invites will be coming in the next few days, so be sure to check your inbox whenever you can. There’s also no word on when the beta will end either. Injustice 2 will release on May 16th for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
