Konami Apologizes For Metal Gear Online Stability Problems

Metal Gear Online, the multiplayer component of Metal Gear V: The Phantom Pain, was released a couple weeks ago, and according to many users, it’s been less than perfect. Connection drops, being unable to join games, and the just the overall stability of the game just brings the whole thing down. Konami is aware of these stability problems, and has issued a formal apology, with promises to fix it and make the experience better.

Starting today, all players will get and extra 3,000 GP as an apology from Konami for the online’s overall problems. In addition, Konami has extended the XP boost promo code that all day one users got from two weeks to three weeks. If you already activated the code, don’t worry: the extra week will be added on for you automatically. “We will continue to improve so that your experience is more pleasant”, Konami said in an official statement.

Metal Gear Online is a free part of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
