Microsoft Is Working To Release All Future Games Simultaneously On Xbox One And PC

Microsoft has been making a push for the better part of a year to make all of its products as streamlined as possible, from making Windows 10 a more unified operating system, to Xbox head Phil Spencer hoping to do away with the traditional platform life span with the Xbox One. But on the gaming side, Microsoft is far from done, as the company plans on releasing all future games simultaneously on both the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.

This according to Windows gaming project manager Peter Orullian, who in an interview with CNET, proclaimed that Microsoft is hoping to have every new title be released on both the Xbox One and Windows 10 computers, with the article quoting Forza  series creative director Dan Greenawalt  as saying that every new game in the Forza series going forward will release on both, with the next game in the series being announced at E3 this year.

This isn’t the first time Microsoft has mentioned making a concetrated effort to release more games on the PC; just recently, the company revealed that pre-ordering Quantum Break on the Xbox One would net them a code for the PC version as well. And with even more games that are supposedly in the works at Microsoft, it’ll be interesting to see how the software giant strikes a balance between PC and console releases going forward.
