Colin Farrell Joins Cast of ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’
Irish heartthrob Colin Farrell has joined the cast of the eagerly anticipated Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. According to THR, he will be playing a wizard called Graves, whom protagonist Net Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) will meet in New York.
Katherine Waterson, Ezra Miller and Alison Sudol also star in the film. David Yates returns from the main Potter films to direct and J.K. Rowling herself wrote the script.
Farrell will certainly be a feather in this production’s cap. I’m still incredibly excited to see J.K. Rowling’s wizarding world realized on screen in a completely new time period and part of the world. Specifically in the United States, in the 1920s. Fantastic Beasts is scheduled to debut November 18th, 2016.
