Legendary plans on doing just that, being legendary in all things “Godzilla”. Since word broke on the new reboot, the mythical movie monster has been hiding from the likes of us. In Rolland Emmerich’s 1998 film, and the last official attempt to bring the sky towering monster to life, the beast’s design was “pseudo-scientific”, making it look more lizard like.
The Japanese films had him more upright, and the 2014 reboot adopts the more classic approach. No humans were harmed in the making of Godzilla…at least we think. A new, full body image of Godzilla has emerged, supposedly from an upcoming piece of film mechandise. Apparently accidentally posted by Amazon for a Godzilla: With Light and Sound! paperback book, the image below depicts the movie monster in all of his glory.
Ta-da! The design of the humongous monster is close to the original and should make many fans happy.
“Godzilla” stars Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Victor Rasuk, Juliette Binoche and Elizabeth Olsen. Gareth Edwards helms the gigantic roar of a film and will smash into theaters on May 16, 2014.
