After previously releasing teasers for Paranormal Activity 4, Paramount Pictures unleashed its first full trailer today.
The first three films in the Paranormal Activity series chronicled the story of one family’s encounters with a demon, as told through shaky, handheld home video and surveillance cameras. Paranormal Activity 4 continues this storytelling format, with Skype-like video chats thrown in to make things even more interesting.
The story is told through the perspective of a blonde teenage girl. While the plot summary is technically “undisclosed”, the trailer hints at a return of Katie, the demonically-possessed woman from Paranormal Activity and Paranormal Activity 2. When we last saw Katie, she had murdered her sister and brother-in-law and made off with their baby son. Now they seem to be back, and the boy has turned into the creepy kid next door.
Paranormal Activity 4 hits theaters Oct. 19, just in time for Halloween.
