New Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Update Adds New Costumes, Weapons, And More

A new update has been released by Konami for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. In addition to the standard tweaks and fixes, this new update also adds some weapons and costumes, some of which are familiar faces to fans of the series.

When the update goes live, players will be able to place cameras and mines around their FOB to help catch invading players, a new FOB mission called “The Skulls Attack” (which sounds more like a 50s horror move to me), and two new costumes to use in these missions: Raiden from the Metal Gear series as he appeared in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the PatriotsMetal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and a regular old cyborg ninja costume, reminiscent of Grey Fox from Metal Gear Solid. In addition, there will also be some new in-game missions that range from beginner to advanced, as well as research nine new weapons (one of them being a black hole bomb briefcase), as well as earning new Event Points, which can be used to unlock previously unavailable items.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is available now for the PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The update is now live, so if you have the game, you can download it now. For even more details on the latest update, click here.
