New Overwatch Character To Debut At Comic-Con 2016

Fans of Overwatch don’t have too wait too long until they can get a look at the new character to join the roster. The hero will be unveiled at Blizzard Entertainment’s Comic-Con 2016 panel at the absolute latest.

Here is the schedule they have set for their panel at San Diego Comic-Con:

“Blizzard developers James Waugh (director of story & creative development), Michael Chu (senior designer, Overwatch), and Arnold Tsang (assistant art director, Overwatch) present a behind-the-scenes look into the creative process of developing the art, design, and story for Overwatch‘s newest hero. Q&A session moderated by Kim Phan (senior manager, esports).”

This doesn’t mean that fans won’t get a taste before that date. This just gives fans the latest possible date on which they will get the information. Blizzard’s panel will take place on Thursday, July 21, between 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. PT in room 6A of the San Diego Convention Center.

While there is little information on the new character, a teaser already has fans speculating. Many players believe it to be a new support character named Sombra who uses some form of sniper rifle.

Overwatch is out now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
