Oculus and CCP Games have partnered together to offer a free copy of the sci-fi shooter game EVE Valkyrie to all customers who pre-order the Oculus Rift. Valkyrie is a spin-off of CCP’s popular sci-fi MMO game EVE Online.
“EVE: Valkyrie is one of the most anticipated virtual reality games, and one of the first true VR games to go into development. It perfectly captures the promise of immersive gaming, shooting you into a sci-fi adventure as you pilot a spaceship in search of combat,” said Palmer Luckey, founder of Oculus.
There is currently no window for when pre-orders for the Oculus Rift will open, but the Oculus Rift is to be released within the first quarter of next year. Pricing is also still up in the air. The release details on the Oculus Rift still seem few and far between, but this is a very welcome piece of news for anyone planning on getting the new VR headset.
