Star Wars Battlefront 2 Will Have A Single Player Campaign

It’s no secret that we’ll be getting Star Wars Battlefront 2, but other than that we know next to nothing about it. That all changed today when Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson talked about it a bit, revealing among other things that the game will have a single player campaign.

During a conference call with investors, Wilson confirmed that the sequel will release sometime this year, though that could change. It’s being developed as a joint effort by DICE, Motive Studios, and Criterion. Besides the obvious inclusions like new maps, characters, and the like, the game will have a dedicated single player campaign, something that was noticeably absent in the last game and something that both fans and critics missed. EA plans to include content from multiple eras, include The Force Awakens and Rogue One. There was no word on whether The Last Jedi would be getting content, but it’s safe to assume it will, and the fact that new characters like Rey, Finn, and Poe would be showing up to fight alongside Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and Luke Skywalker should be more than enough to excite fans of the series. I know I’m on board.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is being developed for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
