Nintendo fans wait in eager anticipation, with Bayonetta and Fire Emblem's Corrin set for release on Super Smash Bros. come tomorrow, February 3, 2016. The two were announced during the last set of livestream conferences by Nintendo, joining other first time characters in the franchise such as Ryu from Street Fighter, and Final Fantasy VII's own Cloud Strife, showing that a character doesn't have to be owned by Nintendo to make its way into Smash. While there are plenty of Fire Emblem characters in the game already, such as Lucia, Marth, and Robin, Corrin marks the first character to cross over from the latest game in the series, Fire Emblem Fates. Much like Robin, players can elect to play a male or female version of the character in Smash, like they can do in Fire Emblem Fates.
Today during the last Nintendo Direct dedicated solely to Super Smash Bros., the results of the Smash Fan Poll were revealed. And the winner is......the Umbra Witch Bayonetta, from the amazing and awesome Platnium action series Bayonetta.
