Warning: Major Spoilers!

Oh boy! Don’t look now! The Agents’ plane is flying above the clouds and with Agent Garrett in the cockpit, he notices two other jets on his six. He radios in to the tower asking if they are friendly and the only thing he gets is static. He asks again and there is nothing. He takes over the plane. And with this, episode 17 of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD begins.

We’re right where we left off last week, with  Coulson, May and Skye. Coulson wants to know who has taken over the plane and tries to pull out of May why she had an encrypted line. Coulson is furious. May says that the line was for Nick Fury and there is nothing else that she can say. Fitz, on the other hand, is partially to blame because he cut the wires. Skye is ordered to pull up communications and find out where the plane is headed. Coulson is demanding more information out of Fitz and wants to know the dirt on May. There could be another person who is involved and all fingers point to Gemma.

Gemma is working back at the lab, when Antoine Triplett comes in. He wants to know what she is working on. Everything is secretive, and she is cautious about tell him what is going on. In a secluded room, she is able to tell him and with her level five clearance, she is only able to get so far. With Antoine’s level six clearance, he may be the key, but can he be trusted?

Agent Garrett radios in that there are several drones who are on the plane’s ass and Garrett desperately wants them off. Coulson has Skye jump on the systems and try to get into the drone systems. Coulson heads into the turret room and sets off a few missiles. Hopefully, they can work together to get them out of the way. Play dead! Sure enough, there are two drones down. Back on the ground, Agent Hand is at HQ and ordering nothing more to happen. Agent Shaw is oddly weary of the change and wonders why they are shooting someone they consider friends out of the sky.

Coulson and Garrett contemplate the route, and it turns out that communications from the plane are being sent to HQ. Coulson has a strong intuition that Victoria Hand is in on it and, when Skye hacks into the system, it looks like something is found – HYDRA. What is Hydra?

Coulson, Garrett and Skye talk about the signals. While the plane is heading towards the hub, they should know how to defend themselves, or get out. Which will it be?

Agent Hand is being informed on a couple of the people on the plane and she wants to be sure that everything is happening. Back on the plane, Gemma communicates with one of her professors at the university, who warns Gemma that she must not trust anyone. All of a sudden, Triplett locks the door and tells Gemma that she can trust him, but how can she be sure? He pulls out a pocket knife and then closes it back up, but not before startling Gemma. He hands her the pocket knife for self defense and then it is time to work together on getting information.

Ward is in the interrogation room with May and she is snapping out of being unconscious, temporarily. Ward is blaming her and May keeps battling out of it. Coulson then rushes in and orders to May to connect back to Fury. Ward walks out and Garrett is there. Ward wants to know what is going on with all the ruckus and it looks that there are people shooting down turrets. All of a sudden, May and Coulson are in the room and May is able to get onto a line, requests Fury and the man answering the phone announces that Fury is dead. Then gunfire ensues.

Ward and Garrett hope that they can get someone through to Fury but then again, they are also worrying about what can be used and what they need to protect. Time to go through the plane. Coulson and May are together and Coulson is pulling a few shards out of May’s arm. It turns out that Coulson’s team wasn’t put together by him, but May also had a lot to do with it. Based on May’s analysis, Coulson was given parameters to use for a team. Ward walks in and May is sure that they are preserving the plane the best they can. They are also concerned about what is on the plane and the information that Hydra could be taking over. Skye is working on clearing out the computers and Garrett goes to hold them off for a little, aiding in Skye’s time frame.

Gemma and Triplett also run into a situation. Hands up! Victoria Hand walks into the room and wants to know a few things. She won’t wait long and if need be, Gemma and Triplett will face the same fate as Fury. It turns out that Victoria has informed Gemma that she is not Hydra, but Couslon is. What?

A team of Hydra agents board the plane and then the SHIELD team is splitting on the ground, and Skye hands the drive to Coulson. May is still in cuffs and sticks with Coulson, no matter what. There is a team of security agents that sees Coulson in cuffs and lets them in. May has a gun and Garrett is wearing a hat, Coulson looks to be in cuffs. One of the men wonders if Garrett needs attention. Nope, just a sidearm!

Hand and Gemma converse about Coulson and all that he has done. Gemma thinks that he is innocent and Hand is pinning up the accusations one by one. Hydra is a part of something big.

Back on the ground, there are more agents rushing towards the gunfire when Skye and Ward jump out of a vent in a room off the hall. The two talk about a plan and Ward confesses that he has feelings for Skye, and that he doesn’t want anything bad to happen to her. Ward and Skye stand up, ready to take on the next part of the mission and Ward wants more, a drink perhaps? Ward reminisces about Dublin and wants to take Skye up on that talk. Ward goes to open the door and Skye kisses him, just in case they might die. Ward opens the door and tells Skye to lock the door behind him. Ward smashes through several agents, kicking, punching, shooting his way through the handful of men that are holding him up. Just when he leasts expects it, they pin him to the ground, kicking him, but Ward is up and safe. Skye got worried and now it is time to hack the system.

Coulson, May, Garrett and Fitz are tracking Victoria Hand and Garrett is getting peeved about what is going on. Coulson wants to be sure that she is the one because she was pissed off that they shot the wrong person. Garrett argues that Coulson was tortured and Skye was shot. Who is brain washed here? Coulson puts two and two together, and then a dozen men rush into the room. Coulson bursts out that Garrett should be taken into custody. Shots are fired. Hail, Hydra! Garrett picks up a helmet and throws it out. What kind of secret is this? Coulson and Garrett go way back, when Fury taught tactics. Coulson is angry and is sure that Fury would kill him for this. Garrett is Hydra and it seems that Coulson has been a part of Hydra for a while. Garrett has been on the ride all along, and how far back is far enough? Fitz could have a high rank if he joins willingly and if not, a lot of torture and pain will be coming his way. Fitz is in tears and then Garrett orders May, Coulson and Fitz to be shot. The lights flicker.

Ward and Skye – I thought the boom would be bigger…BOOM! The lights are out and then the gunfire and ass kicking really begins. Victoria Hand and several agents walk into a mess and Coulson blurts that he is not Hydra. Hand heard everything and Coulson only wants to know how deep it goes. Agent Garrett and his men are taken away, several of the members are in shock, but also relief.

Captain America is working on taking several cases by himself and there are several SHIELD facilities that are being taken over by Hydra. Hand will be heading towards The Fridge and Ward wants to be working with Hand; he wants to see Garrett suffer and there is limited communication.

Hand, Ward, Garrett and several other agents are heading towards the Fridge, Coulson over looks the parting and jumps back onto the plane. Skye gives the order to patch the information, and May is set to help. Allies need to come together.

Back on the plane with Hand, Ward and Garrett. Agent Hand is thinking that the Fridge may not be deep enough. Shall Ward kill the one that was really a part of it all? Ward is given a gun and shoots the two men and Hand several times. It looks like Ward is Hydra.
