Yesterday, we reported that a new multiplayer beta was planned for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, after it was accidentally leaked. Today, Sony made it official: a beta for the multiplayer of Uncharted 4 is happening this weekend.
The official PlayStation Blog laid out some of the details of the beta, which is set to go live on Friday, March 4th at 9 AM Pacific Time, and runs until Sunday, March 6th at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. The purpose of the beta is a stress test to make sure that the servers are running smoothly for the game’s multiplayer mode before the game’s launch next month. Unlike the previous beta, which was a pre-order bonus for The Nathan Drake Collection, this beta is open for everybody, with no PlayStation Plus subscription required. In fact, PlayStation 4 owners can download the files that are needed to run the beta right now off the PlayStation Store, so if you want to get ready for the weekend, you can get the install started right now (make sure you have 7.6 GB of space available).
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End releases on April 26th, exclusively for the PlayStation 4.
