Bond is Back in New Skyfall Trailer
It’s been an exciting week for 007. Last week, he helped kick off the London Olympics with the Queen. This week, a new international trailer for the upcoming Bond film, Skyfall, was released. This is the 23rd installment in the Bond franchise, and our favorite lady-loving spy doesn’t appear to be slowing down at all.
The trailer begins as 007 is “killed”! Not to worry, though. He is faking his own death. Why? The trailer provides a few clues.
Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes) tell M (Dame Judi Dench): “Three months ago, you lost the drive containing the identity of every agent embedded in terrorist organizations across the globe.” That can’t be good.
Javier Bardem appears as yet another creepy villain, Silva, and this time he’s blonde. Do blonde villains have more fun? We also meet the new incarnation of gadget-meister Q (Ben Whishaw), who arms Bond with his iconic weapon, the Walter PPK.
So far, Skyfall looks like the typical action orgy that you’d expect from a Bond film, but with Daniel Craig’s darker and more brooding demeanor. With news of a Heineken ad deal, will we see 007 swigging a beer this time instead of his iconic martini? Looks like we’ll have to wait to find out.
Skyfall is scheduled for release on November 9, 2012.
