Assassin’s Creed Syndicate Gets Release Date

Assassin’s Creed Fans, rejoice! Assassin’s Creed Syndicate has been officially announced, and the title’s release date has already been shared. Luckily enough, gamers won’t have to wait too excruciatingly long for the game to drop as it will be making its way to consoles and PC this fall. Unfortunately, that means that it would seem that Ubisoft has decided to leave past generations behind — at least with this installment into the franchise, as it’s releasing strictly on current gen consoles.

This time around Ubisoft also felt that it would be best to up the ante and give players two characters to get to know — assassin’s so nice they made them twice. Well, sort of seeing as gamers will get to take on the role of Jacob and Evie Frye — a pair of twin assassins. Jacob can be “more hot headed, brash and rebellious” while his sister, Evie, is more of “a relentless Assassin” and “a master of stealth”.  Players will be able to rotate between playing the two characters at will, but certain story based and side missions will restrict choice for narrative purposes. Fun side note: both Charles Darwin and Charles Dickens will make an appearance in the title as well — one of the perks of this title being set in 1868 London. The story will follow the twins as they start in Crawley and head to the city, front manning an uprising to oppress an establishment that conceals the Templars.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will release on October 23rd for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
