Battlefield 1’s Giant’s Shadow Map Will Arrive In December

EA and DICE have shared the first details about Battlefield 1‘s free Giant’s Shadow map. The map is going to be set during the Battle of Selle, in the fall of 1918.

All battles during war are important, but the Battle of Selle is especially significant as it’s the battle where the allied forces managed to break through the Hindenburg line. The map will probably bring along with it some serious changes as to how its played, considering the battle moved the fighting out of the trenches and into open country.

“The British forces have broken through the Hindenburg line and are now in pursuit towards an important railway center,” the description reads. “Fierce infantry and tank engagements ensue on the open ground and river banks alongside the Cateu-Wassigny railway where an armored train can still turn the tide.” Giant’s Shadow will be added to the game through a free update sometime in December. Battlefield 1 launches October 21st for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
